HR
Working closely with facility admins across the four nursing homes pertaining to new staff hire including but not limited to generating employee contracts.
Audit the HR forms logged and approved in each staff member's HR file
Ensure employee records are up to date and maintained accurately in the HR software including staff competencies and compliances
Ensure compliance with governmental laws on payroll accounting and taxes by working with the Senior Company Accountant and Management Accountant
Work proactively with executives and the four nursing homes to ensure employee records & compliance are requirements are maintained in a timely manner
Generate compliance reports
Payroll
Liaise with facility admins across the four homes in AU and process on-time and accurate payroll
Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries
Collecting, calculating, and entering data to maintain and update payroll information
Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
Enter new employees' data (e.g., bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases
Assisting with month-end reporting and posting journals
Reconciliation of Payroll related Balance sheet accounts
Regular filing and archiving of payroll information
Prepare ad hoc management reports related to business operation costs, wages, leaves and expenditure
Generate fortnightly salary and wages flash report
Admin
Answer calls for Head Office and, from time to time, the four nursing homes as required.
Support executives with ad hoc administration projects & activities including developing eforms and templates
Provide ad hoc support to finance team
**Requirements**:
Must have the experience & maturity to proactively engage all relevant levels of the organization to ensure key functions are tightly managed.
Not afraid to contact stakeholders to escalate and or address issues - working collaboratively to resolve.
You don't sit on issues - you ask questions.
4-5 years of Proven experience with month end payroll duties, ideally within a mid-scale business
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
High attention to detail and excellent input accuracy
Understanding local and governmental rules about payroll
Ability to work autonomously and excellent time management skills
Ability to work closely with different level of personnel within the organization
Working knowledge of Enable HR, XERO software and Employee onboarding will be advantageous
Willing to undergo training regarding AU's Company standards including policy and procedures.
