BROAD FUNCTION Responsible for the OVER-ALL leadership, guidance, and direction to the hotel management team as it strives to provide the highest quality in standards and services.
KEY RESULT AREAS Plans, organizes, directs and executes hotel operations based on guidelines:Promotes and markets the business strategicallyPrepares the budget/financial forecast of the operationsSets and achieves sales and profit targetsAdheres to the cost-saving program of the companyMaintains the manpower according to the approved allocationPlans the manpower and the schedule of the hotel personnelSupervises all the departments in exercising their functionsEnsures implementation of tight security measuresReports number of occupancies and sales for each shift to the top managementAudits the daily cash transactions and reports of the cashierReviews various reports for submission to top managementEnsures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulationsAddresses problems and troubleshooting in the operationAttends meetings with top managementConducts weekly meetings of the key personnel for updating and improvementDevelops the people to improve their knowledge, skills, and attitudesHandles employee relationsObserves and evaluates the performance of the subordinates and recommends action planConducts inventory audit of outright products of the hotelApproves minor operational purchasesActs as custodian of the cash sales for the dayUpholds the standard of quality, service, cleanliness, and corporate valuesPerforms customer service:Handles customer inquiries and resolves complaintsEstablishes and maintains good relationships with the customerEntertains the customer at the lobby (if applicable)Handles telephone transactionsObserves telephone etiquetteIn some cases, handles customer greeting, especially in case of important figuresHandles housekeeping:Conducts walk-thru and housekeeping inspectionSchedules the general cleaningDesigns housekeeping policies to ensure hygienic standardsMaintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.Handles maintenance concerns:Deals with contractors and suppliersRecommends improvement on the furniture/fixtures and buildingApproves and manages maintenance and renovations to ensure that both services and property are not damaged in the processPerforms other tasks that may be assigned by top management from time to time
