Hearing Care Specialist

HEARING CARE SPECIALIST JOB LEVEL :
DEPARTMENT : Clinic Operations
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
BASIC DUTIES
1.1.
Selects and administers tests to evaluate hearing or related disabilities.
1.2.
Administers basic hearing tests including air conduction, bone conduction, or speech
audiometry tests.
1.3.
Trains clients to use hearing aids or other augmentative communication devices.
1.4.
Creates or modifies impressions for earmolds and hearing aid shells.
1.5.
Maintains or repairs hearing aids or other communication devices.
1.6.
Demonstrates assistive listening devices (ALDs) to clients.
1.7.
Diagnoses and treats hearing or related disabilities under the direction of an
audiologist.
1.8.
Performs basic screening procedures such as pure tone screening, otoacoustic
screening, immittance screening, and screening of ear canal status using otoscope.
2.
OTHERS.
2.1.
Performs other job-related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: ? Graduate of medical-related courses
? Graduate of Audiology would be an advantage

LICENSURE CERTIFICATION
REQUIREMENT

? Licensed Audiologist would be an advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENT:

? With background in Audiology, capable of learning
how to conduct hearing tests
