The SHE Manager is responsible for all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Management matters covering all facilities/projects of Hedcor Group. This includes the formulation of plans, strategic execution, and implementation of all OSH and Environmental programs and activities. The incumbent serves as the group's focal point and chief liaison officer on all Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Management matters.
Responsibilities Provides overall management of all programs and initiatives of Hedcor group towards its Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental activities. Leads, improves, and ensures that all corporate Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental systems and activities are aligned with the directives and initiatives of AboitizPower, based on applicability on the current set-up. Ensures the compliance of facilities to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Legal requirements. Represents the company in national level program and policy formulations. Establishes the company (and industry) positions as part of the government and industry influencing process. Leads Safety, Health and Environment in O&M technical studies involving: EIS, HAZOP, HAZID, risk assessments, feasibility and scoping studies, etc. Participates in the AP SHEQ Steering Committee in coordinating the efforts of 1AP harmonization of governance, programs and initiatives. Leads the identification of Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental challenges and recommends best possible solutions. Communicates the Safety Health and Environment Key Performance Indicators (KPI) based on best practices and operating models. Leads incident investigations and ensures that all essential elements are well tracked on matters pertaining to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management. Provides advice to Facility focal points in securing Occupational Safety and Health as well as Environmental related permits. Analyzes Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental data and interprets trends on performance corresponding to recommended corrective actions. Leads third party Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental certification activities. Leads Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental audits on facilities to ensure compliance to corporate and legal requirements. Develops Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental programs and initiatives in anticipation of upcoming corporate and legal requirements. Evaluates performance of subordinates on a periodic basis to determine performance level and areas for improvement. Review and endorse approval of external reports (monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports such as SMR, CMR, CMVR, DOD, EIA, CDMP, SLUP reports and other pertinent Environmental Permits). Consolidate Hedcor data for internal and external reports (APSHE, GRI-AP Sustainability Report). Qualifications Bachelor's Degree relevant to the job. Preferably holds OSH related License and/or Certifications (e.g. DOLE Accredited OSH Practitioner/Consultant, NEBOSH, IOSH) Environmental qualifications such as experience being a Pollution Control Officer or an Environmental Managing Head. Preferably a Registered Engineer or a Registered Nurse and holds an OSH License/Accreditation (minimum as DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner). At least 7 years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment. 5 years of managerial experience. Knowledgeable in Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Environmental Regulations including (Forest and Watershed management and ESG initiatives) is an advantage. 1 vacant position in Davao City.
