Job Description The Head of General Trade is responsible for:
Strategy Development and Execution:Develop comprehensive strategies for the general trade segment to achieve sales targets, market share growth, and profitability.Implement effective sales and distribution strategies to expand market presence and strengthen customer relationships.Team Leadership and Management:Lead and motivate a high-performing team, providing clear direction and coaching to achieve objectives.Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the general trade division.Market Analysis and Insights:Conduct regular market analysis and research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activities.Utilize insights to formulate actionable plans that capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate risks.Channel Development and Expansion:Drive the development and expansion of the general trade channel network, including distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance channel effectiveness and operational efficiency.Sales and Revenue Management:Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the general trade division, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions as needed.Optimize pricing, promotions, and trade spend to maximize revenue and profitability.Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and other departments to align strategies and achieve business objectives.Champion initiatives that enhance product availability, visibility, and consumer engagement across general trade channels.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies within the general trade division.Identify and mitigate potential risks related to sales, distribution, and operational activities.The Successful Applicant The Head of General Trade must have:
