Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Credit to lead our credit and risk management efforts. This role is pivotal in shaping the credit strategy, developing credit models, and ensuring the sustainable growth of our credit offerings.
Responsibilities Advance Credit Granting Processes : Enhance our credit granting processes for new and existing customers by overseeing the development of sophisticated risk models and financial valuation models to determine appropriate product terms, unit economics, and limits. Innovative Credit Risk Modeling : Collaborate with our data science team to push the boundaries of credit risk modeling and underwriting, tailoring these efforts to the needs of our Filipino user base. Build a Resilient Credit Portfolio : Develop and implement tools and processes to deeply understand performance levels and trends within our credit portfolio, ensuring its resilience and sustainability. Customer Insights and Repayment Enhancement : Deepen our understanding of how our customers use credit to serve them better and enhance repayment rates, leveraging data-driven insights. Launch and Grow Financial Products : Build, launch, and grow innovative financial services products designed to better serve our underserved target market, particularly middle- and emerging middle-class Filipinos. Develop an Analyst Team : Lead and develop a risk analyst team, fostering core analytics skills and advanced problem-solving capabilities. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Build trusting relationships across the organization, including with product, engineering, finance, and operations teams, to ensure alignment and support for credit initiatives. Establish Credit Governance : Build appropriate credit governance frameworks to ensure resilience to changing market conditions and compliance with external stakeholder expectations. What We Are Looking For Educational Background : Graduate with a degree in Economics, Legal Management, Statistics, Banking, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Experience : Proven experience in deep consumer credit granting roles, including data analysis, credit analysis, and/or modeling areas. Background in Credit and Risk at a bank, credit card company, or a financing/lending company that gives revolving credit lines. A plus if you have a background in FinTech. Portfolio Growth : Proven ability to grow a resilient consumer credit portfolio. Credit Risk Expertise : Extensive knowledge of credit risk modeling and various methodologies and technologies in machine learning modeling. Analytical Skills : Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to derive patterns, trends, and insights and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis. Leadership : Ability to champion organizational agendas and initiatives with executive audiences, integrating team initiatives and actions to support broader vision and credit risk management goals.
