Head of Corporate Pharmacy
JOB PURPOSE The Corporate Pharmacy Head is responsible for all areas of pharmacy operations for Generika Drugstore and Actimed Distribution Center, which includes leadership of the Pharmacy service line, regulatory compliance, clinical pharmacy support initiatives that affect drug utilization, clinical education and staff development, management of appropriate medication utilization, adherence to GDP and GSP procedures.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES As overall head of the regulatory department, the Corporate Pharmacy Head ensures that all pharmaceutical products comply with the appropriate licensing, marketing, and legal compliance to control the safety and efficacy of products sold in Generika Drugstores.Ensure that both the Actimed Distribution Center and Generika Drugstore comply with all FDA regulatory requirements.Manage the pharmaceutical side of operations for both ACTIMED DC and Generika Stores.Act as Network Management and be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enhancing effective relationships with FDA regulatory and key officers, pharmaceutical companies, and related organizations.Implement procedures to provide a safe and efficient Pharmaceutical Service within the accepted legal and professional requirements.Develop processes in the store which are patient-centered to ensure that patient drug therapy is adequately managed in the most effective and safest means for the patient.Develop house brands that will provide better margins and profitability for both Actimed Distribution and Generika Stores.Conduct plant audits/visits primarily to pharmaceutical companies doing toll manufacturing for Actimed.Manage pricing and yield department to ensure high profitability for Actimed and Generika without sacrificing the affordability and quality of the products sold.Assist in setting the strategic direction of the organization as a Mancom member, ensuring effective management of the company and its activities.The position requires using his/her license for the LTO application of the Actimed Distribution Center.JOB REQUIREMENTS A. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's / College Degree in PharmacyRegistered Licensed Pharmacist5 years managerial experience in retail/pharmaceutical organizationExperience in regulatory work in FDAB.
