Join a Thriving Financial Institution Sun Savings Bank Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Accounting to lead our accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting functions. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and regulatory compliance of our growing bank.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership: Oversee the entire accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Policy Development: Establish and maintain robust accounting, finance, and tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports, including BSP reports, to regulatory authorities.Board Support: Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the board of directors for informed decision-making.Financial Planning and Analysis: Assist in developing financial budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.Proven experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the banking industry.Strong leadership and management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., PFRS, IFRS) and tax regulations.Proficiency in financial software and systems.If you are a seasoned accounting professional with a passion for finance and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to join our dynamic team.
