Head Mechanic

The Head Mechanic oversees and coordinates all mechanical repair and maintenance activities within a workshop or service facility. This role involves managing a team of mechanics, ensuring high-quality service delivery, troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, and maintaining efficient operations. The Head Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles or machinery are serviced and repaired to industry standards and in line with customer expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise, train, and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians.
2. Assign tasks and manage workflow to ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance work.
3. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
4. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues in vehicles or machinery.
5. Oversee and participate in the repair and maintenance of various mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in automotive technology or mechanical systems is preferred.
