Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate the dining experience at our properties in Siargao. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative menus, sourcing high-quality ingredients, and maintaining exceptional standards of food quality and presentation. As a key member of our team, the Head Chef will play a pivotal role in shaping the culinary identity of our brand and delighting our guests with memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. **Menu Development:** Create and update seasonal menus that showcase the best of local and international cuisine, incorporating fresh, sustainable ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
2. **Kitchen Management:** Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation, ensuring adherence to quality and hygiene standards.
3. **Team Leadership:** Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment conducive to culinary excellence.
4. **Quality Assurance:** Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure consistency, freshness, and flavor in every dish, conducting regular tastings and inspections to uphold standards.
5. **Inventory Management:** Manage inventory levels, food costs, and wastage, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing expenses while maximizing profitability.
6. **Supplier Relations:** Cultivate relationships with local suppliers, farmers, and artisans to source the freshest and highest-quality ingredients, supporting sustainable and ethical practices.
7. **Menu Costing:** Calculate recipe costs, set menu prices, and monitor food margins to achieve financial targets while offering competitive pricing and value for money.
8. **Health and Safety Compliance:** Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and hygiene protocols, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for staff and guests.
9. **Training and Development:** Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for kitchen staff, promoting skill enhancement, creativity, and teamwork.

Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized culinary institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a reputable restaurant, hotel, or resort
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus, delivering high-quality culinary experiences, and managing kitchen operations
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of culinary professionals
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles
