HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
 
The Hardware Development Engineer will be based in Cebu, Philippines. The position is responsible for the design, engineering, development, and release of the electronic hardware and software portions of the final products to meet internal and external specifications
 
Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
Experience using key interfaces/subsystems (e.g. DCDC converter, MCU, memory, Communication protocols (e.i.. CAN, LIN, I2C ). Preferably Power Supply design experience.
Experience working with SW teams to develop work plans and interface requirements between Hardware and Software.
Assist in reviewing customer requirements, identify and communicate potential issues and provide recommendations that will meet both Flex capabilities and customers? specifications.
Participate in the design and development of new products. Assume engineering responsibility of design tasks during all product development phases, including quoting, breadboards, prototypes, testing, validation, and release to production.
Participate
in customer and internal technical design reviews. Provide innovative ideas for improving product performance, manufacture-ability, and costParticipate in the preparation and presentation of both, high and detailed-level technical presentations to customers, suppliers, and internal Flex teams.
Prepare and maintain appropriate and required product documentation, including customer specifications and Federal Regulations.
Experience running designs through DFM, DFT, and DFA reviews.
Conduct testing and evaluate test results. Identify the root cause of problems and provide corrective actions and recommendations. Interact with customers and suppliers to resolve system issues.
Work with mínimal instruction and guidance. Exercise independent judgment in decision-making within defined procedures and acceptable limits.
Travel as needed to support customers, suppliers, and Flex manufacturing plants
Here is some of what you'll need (required):
Possesses a Degree in a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field is required

ECAD workload and automotive communication protocol; CAN, LIN and I2C
