Guidance Counselor

JOB DUTIES: Creates and discusses with DSAS, Dean and Principal the comprehensive school counselling program for the students.Develops and maintains a written plan for effective delivery of the school counselling program based on the school's needs.Assists all students, individually or in groups, with developing academic, career and personal/social skills, goals and plans.Accurately and appropriately interprets and utilizes student's data.Collaborates with parents/guardians and educators to assist students with educational and career planning.Provides educational and occupational information to the students through seminars, workshops, symposia, and other related activities.Maintains students' records and ensures the confidentiality of the same.Implements developmentally appropriate and prevention-oriented group activities to meet student needs and school grades.Consults and collaborates effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators and other educational/community resources regarding students with identified concerns and needs.Implements an effective referral and follow-up process.Performs other related duties incidental to the work description herein or as deemed necessary by the immediate superior.Job Type: Full-time
