GRAPHIC DESIGNER

 

Position Summary

Creates design solutions/meets design requirements for Islands Souvenir products, with specialized focus on T-shirts, aligning designs with organization's visual 'brand'

Key Responsibilities

Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.

Thinks creatively to produce new ideas and concepts

Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.

Use computer software to generate new images.

Mark up, paste, and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer.

Draw and print graphs, illustrations, and other artwork

Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.

Follow through on activities from creation

and development of design to samplingComply with product design sheet

Coordinates with sampling on actual prints ( assignment of colors, etc)

Coordinates with marketing and executive office on requirements for special orders/events

JOB SPECIFICATION

Graduate of Fine Arts or related course

Creatively-inclined

Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, etc

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Ability to work with multiple projects and deadlines

Keen attention to detail
