Global Lead - Infrastructure and Linux Management (Hybrid)Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience (10 years) in infrastructure and Linux management, preferably within the Insurance or financial services industry.Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux technologies.Proficiency in Linux administration, performance tuning, and data security.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to IT security.Intermediate level of expertise in networking concepts.Excellent problem determination skills, the ability to debug complex cross-system problems, and document root cause including remediation, detection, and avoidance.Experience with Infra and monitoring and telemetry tools.Ability to set goals and project plans that align with organizational OKRs.Strong ability to partner and influence at all levels.Strong understanding of product management and product/customer centric organizations.Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.Experience with agile and lean philosophies.Strong product sense coupled with an ability to take a developer perspective.Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes required.Understanding and experience of working and leading Agile teams. Familiar with CI/CD development, tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Git/BitBucket etc.Primary Responsibilities: Linux Management: Develop and implement strategies for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.Team Leadership: Lead and manage a global team of Linux operators and administrators, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their professional growth and effective execution of their responsibilities.Linux Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient Linux architectures that meet the organization's current and future needs.Security: Establish and enforce security protocols, ensuring IT security and compliance with industry regulations and best practices to protect sensitive customer information.Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize Linux performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning strategies to enhance system efficiency.Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring minimal downtime in the event of a system failure or disaster.Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with Linux technology vendors, ensuring the organization has access to the latest tools, technologies, and support services.Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and senior management, to understand their database requirements and provide timely solutions.Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in database technology, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and drive innovation within the organization.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as data privacy laws and industry standards, and proactively manage database-related risks.Be careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
