•Formulates the drilling program, surface mapping protocols, core logging protocols, and geological data management;•Assists in formulating exploration work programs incorporating the best and most innovative methods currently available, as well as providing the best scientific judgment and advice to the management on the viability of the project area;•Leads surface mapping and prepares the corresponding geological map and report;•Survey the sites and create logs & maps using any mapping software (GIS, MapInfo, AutoCAD, QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.);•Evaluate and interpret as accurately as possible geological, geochemical, and geophysical data gathered through tests and surveys;•Records and update all core log records during exploration drillings regularly to make sure all core samples are in order;•Supervises the third-party consultants in performing exploratory works on the site, as well as the reconciliation of the drilling data submitted for daily, weekly, and quarterly drilling reports;•Establishes own team that will spearhead internal controls and operationalization of the department in delivering the best output for the exploratory works, either by a third-party consultant or in-house-driven activities;•Conducts continuous upskilling training for the proper execution of all processes in their department.•Ensures the progress of the exploratory works will meet the timeline of the management without compromising the quality of deliverables;•Assists in preparing requirements that are in conformance with national and local policies, laws, rules, and regulations governing geological works;•Represents the company to the local community, site visitors, government agencies, and other entities concerning the project, for visitorial and audit purposes, as deemed necessary.Job Qualifications:• A graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Geology.•Holder of a Geologist PRC License with at least Three (3) years of experience in the mining industry (specifically in exploration works).•Excellent communication and technical report-writing skills.•Intuitive leader who displays accuracy and attention to detail.•Must be a team leader and team player.•Advanced understanding of QA/QC protocols and Procedures in Exploration Work.•Proficiency in using any mapping software is an advantage.•Knowledgeable in basic resource estimation using Geovia SURPAC is an advantage.•Has in-depth knowledge of nickel commodity, its associated minerals, and other metallic minerals.•Knowledgeable in the Philippine Mining Reporting Code and any laws about the reportorial in the concerned agency. •Willing to be relocated to our project site in Palawan.
