**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Supports the Managing Director in the performance of their duties
- Accurately enters all transactions daily/weekly/monthly into accounting system
- Uploads supporting evidence for all transactions entered
- Performs bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
- Preparation of payroll for multiple entities on a weekly basis
- Preparation of monthly or quarterly PAYGW, PAYGI or Business Activity Statements including fully reconciled VoB work papers
- Prepares Annual Employee Payment Summaries
- Preparation of quarterly superannuation returns for all entities as required
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory deadlines and submission of returns for clients by the deadline
- Reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts with main general ledger account
- Reconciles general ledger accounts with external records (eg ATO integrated client account, super and payroll tax)
- Able to competently prepare a fully reconciled Trial Balance
- Promptly informs the Australian team of any issues with accounts
- Maintains and builds a supportive and effective team culture

**Required Experience**
- Must have experience working with Australian businesses
- At least 4+ years' experience in Bookkeeping or accounting
- Basic skills with XERO, MYOB, QUICKBOOKS or equivalent
- Intermediate Word and Excel skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Accounting degree
- CPA (desired but not essential)
- Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word Certification
- Well-honed Accounting skills with above-average communication skills
