The Opportunity
Our team is part of our integrated tax practice and links closely into our range of taxation services including corporate tax, transfer pricing and indirect taxes. Your key responsibilities
As Tax Staff, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day client engagements. The client work may include preparing information and validating data required to prepare income tax returns, transfer pricing returns, tax accounting calculations and indirect tax returns for Australian and New Zealand based clients. Key activities of the role:
•    Assist in preparing income tax returns, transfer pricing returns and indirect tax returns using our new, transformed compliance process.
•    Work with onshore teams to champion and roll out the process across our existing client base.
•    Assist with tax accounting processes for Australian and New Zealand based clients.
•    Collect and validate data for use in income tax compliance, transfer pricing compliance and indirect taxes compliance.
•    Actively establish, maintain and strengthen relationships both internally within the EY network and externally with clients.
Requirements:
Essential:
•    1-3 years of experience in tax compliance work, whether that be direct tax, indirect tax or transfer pricing including an ability to discuss the compliance processes.
•    Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to new processes
•    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to converse in English.
•    A curious mind and openness to new ways of doing things.
•    Knowledgeable in basic Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•    Available to work in McKinley West.
An advantage to have:
•    Proven experience in Australian or New Zealand tax compliance.
•    Knowledge of Microsoft PowerSuite (including PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerApps)
