QUALIFICATION STANDARD
Education : Bachelor's Degree in any course related to Information Technology course
Experience : 3 years of relevant work experience
Training : 16 hours of relevant training
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Excellent computing skills
Proficient in MS Office applications, Designing, Computer Programming, and SQL Programming
SCOPE OF WORK:
1. Writes, updates, and maintains computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking loan documents, storing or retrieving data, or employee database maintenance;
2. Uses code libraries, which are collections of independent lines of code to simplify the writing;
3. Conducts trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure that the desired information and instructions are correct;
4. Compiles and writes documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so other developers can understand;
5. Corrects errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced;
6. Consults with the manager, supervisor, and customer to clarify the program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes;
7. Performs revision and expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements;
8. Writes and contributes to instructions or manuals to guide end users;
9. Prepares detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation, and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language;
10. Conducts training of end user based on created application;
11. Performs unit testing on all the modules developed;
12. Maintains assigned application and suggest changes if necessary;
13. Assists junior programmers on delivering their task; and
14. Performs additional tasks or duties as as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
