Freelance Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the tax compliance with matters related to local and national clients
This includes compliance reporting, assisting employees with tax issues and communicating with various federal and state governments This individual brings knowledge of accounting principles and tax laws This individual demonstrates high levels of competency with Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Excel when performing specific duties and responsibilities This individual has tax research and writing experience and can navigate tax research platforms Preparation and review of federal and state employment tax returns and/or tax remittances Preparation of reports, account reconciliations, work papers and journal entries as part of the tax return preparation process Identification and implementation of work process improvements Preparation of materials to inform administrators about various federal and state tax compliance as related to each client Presentations to groups and individuals, providing information relating to special tax issues, such as small business and professional athletes Other special projects as assigned by the management team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field Three years of progressively responsible related work experience Tax research and writing experience Proficiency in preparing PowerPoint presentations for the management team Proficiency in preparing complex worksheets using advanced Microsoft Excel features Ability to interact with employees, students, and personnel from other departments Effective writing and communication skills Detail oriented with strong project management skills Proficiency in workpaper documentation skills Ability to perform tasks independently Past bookkeeping or audit experience Strong analytical skills Can work from Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM PH Time Requirements As you will be working from home, please be advised that we will require you to prepare certain Technical Requirements for you to meet the industry standard.
