Primary DetailsTime Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Responsible for financial modelling, peer benchmarking and executive reporting through various FP&A corporate development reports.
Primary Responsibilities Strategy and Planning Support delivery of strategic initiatives reviewing team financial analysis, evaluating gaps and communicating feedback to ensure accurate researchAlign knowledge strategy with business needsAssist in process design, development, implementation related to corporate development tasksPolicy, Process and Procedures Establish and implement business unit policies and procedures to enhance shared services transactions assigned to the operating functionEnsure compliance to industry and company guidelines and policiesIdentify improvement areas in current processes in place to improve efficiencyMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of financial systems, including general ledger systems, to effectively complete job functionsEnvironmental Awareness/Customer Focus Maintain a good internal stakeholder relationshipManage stakeholders in line of business unitIncrease GSSC's credibility within the QBE community through participation in committees, task forces and eventsProvide communication updates in regard to expense-related processes – annual budgeting, forecasting, expense inquiriesWork with stakeholders to maximize opportunities, minimize expenses and achieve operational and service targetsTechnical Performance Implement assigned policies and proceduresServe as the secondary thought leadership resource for internal customers of the operating unit for all matters related to operational excellencePerform data preparation and basic data management on monthly expense analysis process including design, development, implementation and process improvement activitiesTimely and accurate delivery of operating expense related management reports and analysis, including preparing the pre-allocated, post-allocated and annual expense budget report packagesSupport the communication of recommendations to senior stakeholders in an engaging mannerAssist in the preparation and delivery of stakeholder presentations and facilitating meetings and workshopsSupport ad hoc requests in addition to primary responsibilitiesServe as a single point of contact for client teams, product development teams, and/or sales teamsManage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibilityDeliver accurate financial reporting metrics by analyzing financial data, performing complex data entry, verifying accuracy and collaborating with senior leadership as neededSupport development and preparation of financial models, including earnings, capital and liquidity, to develop proforma analysis of key growth scenariosConduct extensive research to identify business and economic trends, understand competitive landscape through peer benchmarking and market screening, and uncover opportunities for business expansionSupport preparation of case studies of peers who have expanded into the identified areas of growthSupport reports on proposed executive-level projects by analyzing profitability and developing growth projections to recommend and build business case for projects that meet organizational objectivesSupport key executive level presentations to relevant stakeholdersPeople Management "Can do" attitude and willingness to help the team reach a deadlineDevelop and maintain effective working relationships within the departmentRequired Education University degree in Business, Finance and/or AccountingCPA, CFA charter holder (or passed at least the Level I examination), preferred but not requiredRequired Experience At least 2 years of work experience involving management reporting and/or financial analysisAt least 4 years relevant working experiencePreferred Competencies/Skills Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modellingAdvanced PowerBI and Market Intelligence skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to use multiple resources to gather and analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problemsAbility to collaborate with people at different levels within the organization to accomplish a common goalEffective planning skills and time managementExcellent communication skillsStrong stakeholder management skillsAbility to work on a global teamPreferred Experience Preference for work experience in consulting, market intelligence and/or financial planning and analysisPreference for work experience in a shared service environmentPreferred Knowledge
