Financial Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Accounting, Credit Card Reconciliation, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to compile, analyze, and report on various financial data. Your primary focus will be on analyzing credit card transactions, preparing financial metrics, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. You will also assist in monthly financial reporting, revenue and expense analysis, cash projections, and ad-hoc projects. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of financial analysis, and experience with financial systems and reporting.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze and review monthly credit card transactions to identify trends and irregularities.
• Monitor and compare actual credit card spending against budget and forecast.
• Prepare and present monthly financial metrics and trend reports on credit card spending.
• Support the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports on revenue, expenses, and profit.
• Assist with weekly cash reporting, including projections of cash flow.
• Conduct financial research to support business decisions and improve financial operations.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for improving cost control and efficiency.
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and support other departments with financial data as needed.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and/or accounting, with a focus on financial analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) accounting system is preferred.
• Experience with government contracts or projects is a plus.
• Excellent analytical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
