FINANCE SPECIALIST
**Job Description**:
Tellitwell International is looking for a reliable Accountant to assist in preparing statements that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines. You will be responsible for identifying and preventing financial discrepancies and helping enforce control systems. An effective Accountant has good knowledge of accounting principles. You mustbe an organized professional with a great eye for detail. You must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively. The goal is to contribute to keep the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. In addition, you will be tasked with certain human resourcing functions and other administrative duties required by the Company. You will report directly to the General Manager and indirectly to the corporate financial controller located in Canada.
**Qualifications**:
Must be a BSA or BSMA graduate or any accounting related course with a good scholastic record
Preferably with 2-4 years of experience and well-versed with QuickBooks
Proficient in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and other Financial Reports
Able to maintain an attitude of professional dignity and trustworthiness
Initiative and business sense:
able to propose new and innovative ideas for improving work methods and features.
Independence, professionalism, and responsibility:
you can manage your own schedule and be accountable to your clients
Organized:
able to stay on top of many projects/tasks
An interest or passion for books, writing, or publishing
Good foosball skills, although these can be learned on the job
**Responsibilities**:
Managing all tasks related to accounts receivables function including recording in G/L, subsequent receipts, and following up with customers on overdue balances.
Managing all tasks related to accounts payable function including reviewing payment requests for appropriateness, recording in G/L, and making payments.
Reviewing expense reports submitted by staff on company credit cards.
Forecasting cash flow to ensure sufficient cash is available to meet operational requirements.
Tracking deposited cheques to ensure that balances have cleared.
Performing monthly bank reconciliations.
Filing documentation both physically and on the network.
The key point of contact with the external accountants and tax authorities.
Managing Human Resources function. Including, preparing onboarding documentation and providing necessary payroll and other tax information.
Assisting with Bi-weekly payroll.
Year-end tax filing requirements.
Year-end financial statement preparation.
Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget.
Other functions as assigned by Management.
