Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, pro-active and solution driven Finance Specialist to join our dynamic e-commerce brand. The Finance Specialist will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support the company's growth and profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of e-commerce financials and the ability to provide actionable insights to drive business decisions. The Finance Specialist will use their financial management knowledge to perform interpretations on cost analysis, budget reports and constantly evaluates the businesses current cashflow position. The Financial Specialist will manage all facets of Finance including but not limited to: Payroll, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Budgeting, Forecasting, Expense Management, Cash Monitoring, Taxes, Internal Reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze financial data to interpret the company's financial status as well as provide solutions.
Develop financial models and recommend corrective financial action plans
Create forecast models based on current and past financial result
Provide financial management services including investment advice or new projects, financial planning and risk management.
Perform a range of bookkeeping activities, including processing payments, managing bank transactions, allocating costs, filing of documents and maintaining other financial records
Develop, implement and review fiscal policies including but not limited to: Periodic and Annual Financial Statements, Schedules and Reports)
Keeping up with the industry news, trends and opportunities relating to E-commerce
Ensuring compliance with Industry standards and rules
Generate ad-hoc financial reports to support business decisions.
Main Tasks:
Compute the weekly / monthly profit & loss statement and offers financial advice to the management
Variance analysis on year to date comparisons
Identifies and implements solutions based on the financial situation to improve profitability metrics.
Updating internal company reports on a weekly basis
Budgets and keeps track of the financial spending on different projects.
Make sure the company is always in a healthy financial position and has a proactive approach in resolving key issues immediately
Keeps track of all monthly financial transactions and reports to the Bookkeeping Third Party company.
Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives and business planning.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Collaborates with other departments to optimize costs and income streams.
Skills:
Proven work experience as an Accountant, Bookkeeper, Financial Specialist, Financial Analyst or relevant role preferably in the E-commerce industry
Non-Negotiable - Understanding of financial and accounting principles as well as computing financial statements including the P&L, Cashflow Forecast, Budget
Ability to analyze E-commerce market trends and provide data-based advice
Attention to detail and meticulousness in managing financial records and ensuring accuracy.
Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
Capable of thinking long-term and aligning financial strategies with business goals.
Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills to articulate financial information clearly
Software/Qualifications:
Xero
Google Sheets
Advanced Microsoft Excel including basic formulas such as Vlookup, SUMIFS etc
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, and their financial metrics.
