What you'll do We are looking for a dynamic Finance Specialist to join our small but mighty Finance Team to support our growing company. Sprout's Finance Team works in numbers while living and breathing the Sprout brand. Doing our jobs effectively means we approach each interaction with confidence, each process with diligence, and our customers with care. We are looking for our next all-knowing Finance/Procurement guru who isn't just about getting things done but can scale and enhance our existing processes.
What you'll bring The minimum qualifications for this role include:
Entry Level with an Accounting degree or 2 years relevant experience Able to work North American hours Strong written communication skills and tracking feedback from stakeholders Preferred qualifications for this role include:
Degree in Accounting or 2+ Years in an accounting or finance role Experience with managing monthly reports Comfort organising large volumes of data and high proficiency in excel Background using internal accounting and expense management systems eg. Netsuite, Coupa, are a plus How you'll grow Within 1 month, you will… Complete Sprout's New Hire training program alongside other new Sprout team members. You'll gain a broader understanding of our product and how your role fits into the organization. Develop a firm understanding of the team's goals and core responsibilities Gain a solid foundational knowledge of the Corporate Finance impact on procurement and financial statements Within 3 months, you will… Build connections with members from other teams through active networking and community building Perform key assumption ratio calculations Oversee the execution of monthly reports to contract owners and stakeholders Independently provide budget approval for procurement requests Maintain and organize financial transaction data Be able to navigate Sprout's accounting and expense software to investigate variances Within 6 months, you will… Have your first performance conversation with your manager, where you'll discuss your accomplishments in your role and work together to build goals for your professional growth Collaborate with Corporate Finance leaders to ensure visibility to expense transactions Assist in variance analyses and identify updates to our expense forecast Ensure all contracts are accurately loaded into our procurement system Collaborate with the Procurement Manager and stakeholders in identifying vendor redundancies, selecting vendors, validating renewals, and adding licenses. Manage procurement workflow to ensure timely processing Ownership of inputting key financial ratios Within 12 months, you will… Be a key contributor in the financial planning processes, and act as main point of contact for requests and queries Lead in developing solutions to improve procurement-related processes, data accuracy and completeness Develop analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.
