Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Prepare monthly, mid-year, and annual financial statements and related schedule of accounts.
- Prepare and ensure timely completion of year-end audit.
- Assist in account receivable and payable activities.
- Evaluate existing accounting systems and recommend improvements if required.
- Assist in developing and managing budgeting systems.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors related to financial reporting.
- Oversee monthly closing process, working closely with both Cebu and Dumaguete finance teams.
- Ensure compliance to all required regulatory and government-mandated reports.
- Review and coordinate payroll processing on a bi-monthly schedule.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports to top management.
- Assist the CEO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
- Collect, interpret, and review financial information that are useful in investments and make recommendations.
- Monitor the performance of the financial assets.
- Make sure tax reporting obligations are timely fulfilled.
- Oversee all company accounts and investments.
- Analyze trends and prepare risk and opportunity assessments.
- Coordinate annual budget and monthly forecast process for both Cebu and Dumaguete sites.
- Understand cost drivers of the business and actively look for opportunities to reduce cost and bring more value to the business.
- Improve systems and procedures, and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
- Hiring, training, and evaluating finance staff and taking corrective action when necessary.
- Motivate, manage, and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
- Develop and put into practice procedures for handling finances and accounting, review accounting discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Focal point with external entities such as bookkeeping company, auditor and tax authorities, etc;
- Perform other related duties in relation to finance as required and assigned.
**Salary**: Php57,500.00 - Php65,000.00 per month
