DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to the executive team.
• Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and support business strategies.
• Monitor key financial metrics, identify trends, and proactively address potential issues.
2. Budget Management:
• Collaborate with department heads to develop annual operating budgets and track budget performance.
• Assess budget variance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Continuously improve budgeting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
3. Financial Reporting:
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Prepare financial analyses for stakeholders, investors, and board meetings.
• Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
4. Tax Compliance and Planning:
• Oversee all tax-related activities and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
5. Cash Flow Management:
• Oversee cash flow planning and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
• Implement cash flow forecasting models to manage cash resources effectively.
6. Risk Management:
• Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Monitor market trends and economic indicators to assess potential impacts on the company's financial performance.
7. Financial Operations:
• Supervise and support the finance team in daily accounting operations.
• Review financial transactions, payroll, and other financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA license is required.
2. Experience in an advisory or audit role in a top audit firm with at least 2 to 3 years of experience.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
4. Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
5. Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with experience in tax planning and compliance.
6. Proficient in financial software and accounting systems.
7. Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex financial and tax data to non-finance stakeholders.
8. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Must Haves:
• CPA License
• 2 years of experience as Finance Manager.
• Financial Modelling, Forecasting and Budgeting.
• Auditing experience.
Nice to Have:
• Audit experience in a top audit firm
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or Xero.
Soft Skills:
• Communications skill
