The Finance Director will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handling the collection, analysis, and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control system, and lead department staff.
Duties and Responsibilities Ensures sound internal financial management control systems and procedures are in placeMonitors variances, summarizes trends and investigates budget deficienciesPrepare required financial statements and operating reports ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and regulatory requirementsMaintain, manage, and analyze financial statements, payroll, budgets, tax compliance issuesOversees and ensures timely and accurate processing of transactions and accounting data and ensures legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functionsObtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structureEnsure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closePreparing and publishing the timely reporting of all monthly financial informationSet, monitor and implement organizational financial reporting controlOversees Payroll. Maintains current knowledge of applicable federal, wage and hour laws to ensure compliance with regulationsWork with Payroll Manager and Team to identify opportunities to enhance the current process and implement controls to drive efficiency and streamline processAttend operational meetings and report back to Senior Vice President, Finance and AdministrationDevelops and documents accounting policies and business processes to strengthen internal controlsMonitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracyAssist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the departmentSupports budget and forecasting activitiesWork with the Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration to ensure a clean and timely year end auditProvide training and development for new and existing staffSupport Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration with special projects and workflow process improvementQualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance or AccountingMinimum of 10 years' experience in progressively responsible accounting roles, 3 of which will have been in an accounting management capacityIn depth understanding of accounting and business conceptsStrong analytical skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office and financial softwareStrong communication and presentation skillsHighly organized and able to function efficiently in a fast-paced environmentMust be amenable to work in Ortigas, Pasig City
