About the RoleAs a Finance Associate, you will be a technical analyst enabling Hive's strategic objectives focusing on special projects, reporting, and analysis functions. This role involves close collaboration with leads, other finance teams, and data and product teams to improve the company's financial state continuously. You are an individual contributor deeply involved in the company's direction, specializing in analysis and strategy.
ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis and ForecastingAssist in creating financial forecasts, including projections for revenue, expenses, and cash flow.Analyze financial trends and data to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.Budgeting and PlanningCollaborate with departments to track and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.Help prepare annual budgets and perform variance analysis to monitor and control expenditures.Cost Management and EfficiencyMonitor and analyze departmental spending to ensure cost-efficiency and adherence to budgets.Identify opportunities for cost-savings and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance.Process business transactions and verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records.Investment and Cash Flow ManagementSupport cash flow management and liquidity planning, advising on optimal fund allocation.Assist in evaluating investment opportunities and performing financial due diligence.Financial Reporting and SupportContribute to the preparation of management reports focusing on financial performance and strategic insights.Provide data for financial reviews and support senior finance leadership in decision-making.Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.Assist in tax planning and forecasting to optimize the company's tax position.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork with internal teams to provide financial insights and support cross-functional projects related to financial strategy.Other roles that may be required to support operations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent field.Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance operations, accounting, or taxation.Tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of accounting principles and working tax regulations in the Philippines.High attention to detail and excited to learn new skills and tools.Knowledge of and experience in Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), healthcare, insurance, or financial services industry is a plus!
