Our respected client is seeking a well-experienced individual in the broiler farm environment for the position of Farm Operations Director. The job is based in Maragondon, Cavite.
Job Summary:
The Farm Operations Director will evaluate, plan, organize, and manage all farming and harvesting operations. This role will provide leadership and coordination of general farming administration, accounting, budgeting, and planning for continued development and eventual farming and harvesting. The Director will ensure the broiler poultry enterprise runs as efficiently as possible while adhering to all organizational procedures. They will manage farm staff as required and work to the highest standards to provide the best levels of poultry welfare to the livestock under their care.
Key job responsibilities include: In-charge of strategic and operational planning, contributing to overall farm budgeting and promoting profitability and growth of the Company.Ensure company objectives, plans, and targets are met.Recruit, train, develop, and manage farming personnel; develop new and existing employees through coaching and leadership.Ensure team members have the necessary competencies and experience to be a winning team.Direct all activities necessary to operate and support the farm at maximum effectiveness and efficiency within established budgets.Collaborate with coworkers on the farm and in other departments including Accounting, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, and outside service providers to optimize farming operations.Attend seminars, annual industry workshops, and conferences as necessary.Ensure compliance with all regulations and applicable laws.Guarantee that employment practices and policies, including food safety and employee safety protocols, are enforced and followed consistently.Manage the farm to ensure that bird welfare is never compromised.Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring work is carried out to required specifications and quality.Ensure that all crucial paperwork and reports are accurately completed and submitted on time to the relevant department.Communicate with Farm Managers to ensure relevant information is provided promptly and accurately.Guarantee site security is preserved, and all issues are immediately addressed.Ensure adherence to the Company Environmental, Health & Safety Policy, Quality Control, Animal Welfare, Biosecurity, and good housekeeping practices.Perform other related tasks as assigned.Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.Minimum of 15+ years' experience required, with at least 5 years as Operations Manager.Comprehensive management background of at least 10 years in the same industry.Sufficient knowledge of agricultural production and animal husbandry.Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets.Good interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish positive working relationships.Excellent written and oral communication skills to small and large groups, with a passionate ability to lead and influence.Ability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as business needs arise during the harvesting season.Professional, dependable, principled, and honest.Strong computer skills.All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
