Job Responsibilities:Oversee the proper functioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all systems.Respond to facility emergencies, system failures, and breakdowns.Diagnose problems in facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.Oversee facility renovations and modifications to improve energy efficiency or operational needs.Monitor energy usage to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Implement sustainable practices to reduce the facility's environmental footprint, such as waste management and water conservation.Negotiate contracts for building maintenance services and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).Conduct regular health and safety audits to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.Ensure emergency evacuation routes, fire alarms, and safety equipment are properly maintained.Supervise and train facility maintenance staff, ensuring their work is aligned with organizational goals.Coordinate with other departments, such as IT, security, and operations, to ensure smooth facility operation.Ensure that security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.) are maintained and functioning.Coordinate with security personnel to ensure safe building access and monitor any potential risks.Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Building Services Engineering.At least one year of related experience in facilities management, building systems maintenance, or engineering.Thoroughness in inspecting systems, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with regulations.Familiarity with OSH standards.Knowledge of fire safety, environmental laws, and sustainability practices is a plus.Background as Safety Officer or Pollution Control Officer.
