The Export Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the logistics and regulatory compliance associated with the export of goods. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of international trade regulations, shipping processes, and customs documentation. The Export Specialist will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and government agencies to ensure the smooth and timely export of goods while maintaining compliance with all legal requirements. Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate Export Operations: Manage and oversee the entire export process, including the preparation and processing of export documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin). Arrange and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling of goods.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including export controls, customs regulations, and trade agreements. Stay updated on changes in international trade laws and advise the company on necessary adjustments to procedures.

Customs and Documentation: Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations, ensuring all required documentation is completed and compliant. Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth customs clearance.

Logistics and Shipping Coordination: Select and coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to optimize shipping routes and costs. Monitor shipment progress and address any issues that arise during transit.

Customer and Vendor Communication: Act as a point of contact for customers, providing updates on shipment status and resolving any issues related to export orders. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that export requirements are met.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to the export process, including potential delays, compliance issues, and financial risks. Implement and maintain procedures for managing export compliance and record-keeping.

Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all export activities, including shipping documents, regulatory filings, and customer communications. Prepare reports on export activities, including metrics on shipping performance, costs, and compliance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in export operations, logistics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, including export controls, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in logistics and shipping software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in Export Management (e.g., Certified Export Specialist) is a plus.

Work Environment:
This position typically operates in an office environment, with occasional travel to warehouses, ports, or customs offices as required.
