Under the direction of the Maintenance Section Head, implements approved maintenance and calibration programs, work instructions, and guidelines that would ensure quality, safe, and trouble-free operations of production equipment; formulates work instructions and guidelines for the operations, preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance ActivitiesEnsures that the above objectives are:Communicated to and properly executed by subordinates.Assessed and updated as needed.Prepares requisition of maintenance materials and supplies.Assures completed activities are acceptable to serviced section's requirements.Participates in the prevention and control of his work center's waste in supplies, energy, manpower, and overhead costs.Updates and maintains equipment service records and other maintenance records.Monitors performance against a standard on repairs, maintenance, labor man-hours, and work center overhead cost.Prepares weekly working schedule and personnel attendance record.Develops predictive, preventive, and total productive maintenance programs on specific systems assigned and ensures it is being carried out by technicians.Performs troubleshooting on equipment.Prepares and manages the budget necessary for a specific section to operate and maintain the assigned equipment.Implementation of an Integrated Management System (IMS) and Good Housekeeping/Manufacturing Practices (5s and GMP)Strictly follows and ensures that policies and practices are understood and conformed to by subordinates:Integrated Management System (IMS)/ QHSSE PolicySafety (Use of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE), Familiarization of Safety Data Sheets (SDS or MSDS), Compliance to Safety Signs/Warnings, Use of necessary Work Permits)Conduct orientation of new workers on plant safety programs, documented procedures, and work instructions.Attends safety meetings/toolbox meetings regularly.Conducts Aspect/Impact and Hazard/Risk assessment review annually or as needed/required.Conducts daily inspection of work area and reports to superior any observed safety issues/hazards, unsafe acts, and conditions and recommends corrective and preventive actions.Ensures enforcement and implementation of corrective, preventive, and improvement action plans in his workplace.MANPOWER:Directs assigned manpower. Offers counsel, guidance, or coaching as required to meet maintenance goals/targets and to correct unnecessary behaviors.Assists in recruitment, training, and evaluation of the performance of subordinates.Suggests training needs for his subordinates and updates training plan.Strictly follows and cascades to subordinates company personnel policies and rules and regulations.QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Graduate. Preferably with a license.At least three (3) years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer in the operation maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in manufacturing or industrial plants.Knowledge of basic Computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Good oral and written communication skills.Root Cause Analysis and Basic Problem Solving Techniques.Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).Aspect/Impact and Hazard/Risk Assessment.Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).CORE COMPETENCIESMust have a high level of integrity and be able to work with other departments in a collaborative manner.Ability to interact in a matrix organization driving results based on OKR.Must immerse oneself in the corporate values of D&L and act as a role model in keeping the values working.
