Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Solar Power Project
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to oversee and coordinate all electrical activities for our solar power project. The role requires expertise in PV panel installations, grid integration, and substation commissioning to ensure high-performance energy production and compliance with technical and safety standards.
Key Electrical Responsibilities: PV System Installation & Oversight: Supervise the installation of PV arrays, inverters, combiner boxes, and DC wiring, ensuring optimal design, grounding, and wiring to maximize energy output.Substation Electrical Systems Management: Oversee the installation and integration of substation components, including transformers, switchgear, protective relays, and control systems. Ensure alignment with grid requirements, emphasizing safety and reliability.Technical Design Review & Compliance: Assess and validate electrical design documents, checking for compliance with industry codes (IEC, IEEE) and project specifications. Confirm electrical layouts and connections for PV systems and substations.Testing & Commissioning: Lead testing and commissioning phases for electrical installations, conducting insulation, polarity, and continuity tests to ensure systems meet operational standards and client expectations.Quality Control & Assurance: Implement quality assurance protocols for electrical installations, including material inspection, workmanship verification, and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.Documentation & Compliance Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all electrical activities, inspection reports, testing results, and compliance documentation. Prepare technical reports and certification documents for client handover.Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve electrical issues in both PV and substation areas, coordinating with project teams to minimize downtime and maintain project schedules.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in solar power projects, specifically in PV systems and substation installations.Proficiency in electrical works and knowledge of relevant codes.Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety and quality.Effective communication and project coordination abilities.
