Zigzag is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team! Job Overview:
For this position, you will be reporting to an Australian company that provides services to major industrial and mining companies. The team is growing and requires an Electrical Design Engineer to join this dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
The role would involve:
Perform power system study such as power system modelling, one line diagram, load flow, short circuit, protective coordination, arc flash ,author reports, via softwares such as SKM PTW, PowerCAD, PowerPac, TemCurve.Design and drafting of various Electrical and Instrumentation and Control deliverables such as: Single-Line Diagram, Schematic Diagram, Interconnection Diagram, General Arrangement Drawings, etc.Updating of Load List, Instrument List, I/O List, Cable Schedule, Bill of Materials, etc.Interpreting and following drafting and document control procedures, quality procedures.Communicate with engineers in understanding job requirements and interpreting engineering notes.Service provided across a range of Power, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control disciplines so a broad engineering knowledge is an advantage.Using several design software packages i.e., AutoCAD, SKM PTW, PowerCAD, PowerPac, etc.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Vocational DiplomaBackground in Oil & Gas/Mining/Water/Power/Industrial industry.AutoCAD experience.Minimum 5-7 years in electrical industry.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Strong English skills both written and verbal.Excellent computer skills.Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.An acute attention to detail and an appreciation for quality in design documentation.Understanding of document control processes.
