Plan International Pilipinas is seeking a passionate and experienced Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Specialist to join our dynamic team!
The DRR Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of this project. You will provide technical support, lead capacity-building activities, manage project activities, and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct DRR Capacity and Vulnerability Assessments. Design and facilitate DRR interventions using participatory techniques. Facilitate meetings to ensure partners understand the needs of vulnerable groups in DRR. Lead communities in reviewing and updating their contingency plans. Implement project activities based on the approved plan. Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements. Monitor project progress and address any challenges. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field. Training in Community Organizing/Development, Program/Project Management, Participatory Rapid Appraisal, Cultural Sensitivity, Gender Sensitivity, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. Five (5) years of experience in community organizing and development. Hands-on experience in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM). Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluency in English and the local dialect is a plus.
