POSITION SUMMARY The Director of C&B is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing compensation, benefits, payroll, expat mobility, and the total rewards strategy across the organization. This individual will ensure that all programs align with the company's business objectives, are competitive within the market, and meet the needs of employees. The Director of C&B will lead and mentor a team while partnering with senior leaders to drive HR operational excellence and ensure compliance with local regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Compensation Strategy & Management: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive compensation programs, including salary structures, incentives, and bonuses that align with the company's business objectives.
Lead the job evaluation process to ensure internal equity, consistency, and alignment with the overall salary structure.Conduct annual salary reviews and develop strategies for merit increases, promotions, and other compensation adjustments.Oversee compensation benchmarking and survey participation, ensuring competitiveness by analyzing industry trends and market data.
Handle and analyze large employee data sets to provide insights and recommendations for compensation and rewards programs. Benefits Planning & Administration: Oversee the strategic planning, design, and management of employee benefits programs (healthcare, wellness, retirement, and other benefits) that meet the needs of employees and are cost-effective.
Regularly review and benchmark benefit programs to ensure market competitiveness and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Manage relationships with external benefits vendors to ensure high-quality services, negotiate contract terms, and optimize costs. Payroll Management: Overall payroll operations across multiple sites, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing.Ensure compliance with local payroll laws and regulations.Partner with finance to ensure seamless integration between payroll systems and financial processes. Total Rewards Strategy: Develop and implement a holistic total rewards strategy that integrates compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.Ensure alignment of total rewards programs with organizational goals, business strategy, and employee engagement.Effectively communicate total rewards programs and strategies to leadership and employees. Expat Mobility Program: Oversee the global mobility programs, including expatriate assignments, relocation, and cross-border employment arrangements.Ensure compliance with local tax, labor, and immigration laws and manage partnerships with external vendors. Vendor Management: Lead vendor management for all external service providers related to benefits, compensation surveys, payroll processing, and global mobility.Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and monitor vendor performance to ensure high-quality services and cost efficiency.Ensure vendors comply with agreed service levels and contractual obligations. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of professionals across compensation, benefits, payroll, and mobility functions.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the HR operations team.Provide guidance and development opportunities for team members to achieve personal and professional growth. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all compensation, benefits, and payroll regulations.Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on compensation, benefits, and payroll trends and metrics.Monitor changes in regulations and adjust policies and practices as needed to ensure continued compliance. HR Technology & Process Optimization: Leverage HR technology and systems to optimize compensation, benefits, and payroll processes.Ensure the effective use of HRIS and other systems for tracking and managing employee compensation, benefits, and payroll data.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Extensive experience (10+ years) in compensation, benefits, payroll, and total rewards management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Deep expertise in job evaluation, salary reviews, compensation benchmarking, and participation in market surveys.Proven ability to analyze and handle large employee data sets to inform compensation and benefits decisions.Demonstrated success in the planning, design, and management of employee benefits programs.Strong vendor management experience, with proven ability to manage external vendors for benefits, payroll, mobility, and compensation survey services.Experience in managing global mobility and expatriate programs.Experience in the hotel and integrated resort industry is a strong plus.Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications are preferred.
