Position summary: The Director & General Manager position will be responsible for overall P&L of the entity and to drive the business to achieve its goals and objectives. This role is accountable to drive innovation, strengthen customer relationships, and build organizational capability. This role reports to the EVP & Head of ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions GCSEA Division and will manage sales leaders as well as leads from support functions including Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Human Resources.
Strategize and drive all short and long-range business goals and objectives across Retail, Projects (Residential and Commercial), and e-commerce business.Create an Operational Rhythm of financial rigor and cost efficiency.Create customer delight by actively engaging with the customer base mainly Distributors, dealers, and Retailers (Retail Segment) and Architects/Developers/Main Contractors and Owners (Project Segment).Responsible for C-suite business Development and Networking with customers.Know and own your market by conducting market and competitive analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities for the business. Needs to demonstrate creativity, courage, and sound Business Planning Skills to penetrate new growth segments and Business opportunities.Strive for new business innovation through process and products. Must be comfortable to Drive Digital & Smart Products and e-commerce.Lead the team by driving a high-performance culture and demonstrating admirable leadership behaviors.Review and monitor the overall business results, comparing them to established objectives.Abide, support, and ensure compliance with state regulations, ASSA ABLOY policies, procedures, and the code of conduct.ROLE EXPECTATIONS:Demonstrated achievements as the Country Sales Director for a Retail/Project Related/Construction Industry or trade business with a strong sales excellence focus.Experience and knowledge of financial statements, and how to read and interpret them.Experience (and demonstrated results achievement) with building an organization, managing staff, and driving capability in people.Demonstrate admirable leadership behaviors.Strong ambition to grow the organization and develop career.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business required from a premier institute.Master's Degree in Business is preferred but not mandatory.12-15 years of experience in a similar role in the same or related industry, including progressive 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role.Experience in building construction/material.Experience in projects & retail. Good in both English and Local Language.
