Director for Supply Chain Management
Job Summary:
The Director for Supply Chain develops company's supply chain management strategy and builds the processes that guarantee the efficient movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and of finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Defines and implements comprehensive strategies for all aspects of the company's supply chain to reduce costs, mitigate risks, improve quality, shorten lead times, and reduce inventories.
Collaborates with all stakeholders in improving product lifecycle management.
Challenges existing suppliers to upgrade capabilities to produce and supply demands immediately; spearheads sourcing initiatives to introduce products on time, on budget, and in stock.
Seeks out future potential supply partners that can help our clients advance to the next level.
Negotiates supply agreements with all vendors, manufacturers and providers.
Continuously develops and enhances supply chain productivity and operational processes from inventory and warehouse management, strategic sourcing and purchasing and distribution.
Implements industry best practices for forecasting, sourcing, risk mitigation, inventory and vendor management.
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain services within the organization.
Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and at source.Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety.
Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Qualification:
Extensive experience in Supply Chain Management for at least 10 years, five (5) of which as Senior Manager
Preferably with hands on experience with supply chain management software
Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field; Degree in Master in Business Administration or related field preferred but not required.
With established, strong connection and/or relationship with supply chain sector and other players in the supply chain business,
