Position Summary:
As a Digital Factory Deploy Engineer at Unilever BWPC, you will play a pivotal role in developing and deploying software solutions and custom applications for manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with the Digital Factory Data Engineer to turn data-driven insights into practical, efficient, and user-friendly tools that improve our operations.
Key Responsibilities: Software Development: Collaborate with the Data Engineer and other stakeholders to design and develop software solutions and custom applications for manufacturing processes. Deployment and Integration: Implement and integrate software solutions into our manufacturing environment, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption to operations. User-Friendly Interface: Design user-friendly interfaces and dashboards for the custom applications to ensure ease of use for blue-collar workers. Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to identify and address any issues in software and applications. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of software and application development, deployment procedures, and user guides. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, manufacturing engineers, and blue-collar workers, to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into software development. Training: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of deployed software and applications. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continually improve software solutions and applications. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in software development and deployment, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and software development tools. Background in Industrial Automation is highly desired Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work collaboratively with data engineers and manufacturing teams. Experience with user interface design and user experience (UI/UX) principles is a plus.
