DevOps/System Integration Engineer
Leading Australian Managed IT Service Provider
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps/System Integration Engineer to work with our Australian managed IT services client.
This role has responsibility for ensuring seamless integration between applications, optimizing workflows, and developing automation solutions that drive efficiency and scalability.
We're looking for expertise in API integration, PowerShell scripting, workflow automation, and Jinja2 templating, along with solid experience in Python and Git.
Key Responsibilities:
• API Integration:
Design, develop, and manage integration APIs to enable communication and data exchange between various systems and applications.
• PowerShell Scripting:
Leverage advanced PowerShell scripting skills to automate routine administrative tasks, configuration management, and workflow processes.
• Workflow Automation:
Create and manage automated workflows using tools like Microsoft Power Automate, optimizing repetitive tasks for maximum efficiency.
• Jinja2 Templating:
Utilize Jinja2 templates to generate dynamic content within automation scripts and configuration files.
• System Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal operation of integrated systems and workflows.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate with team members, document processes, and maintain version control using Git to support development, automation, and system integration initiatives.
Technical Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• Relevant academic qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, systems integration, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and systems integration tasks.
• Solid experience with Git for code management, version tracking, and collaboration.
• Understanding of REST APIs and their application in enabling communication between software tools and systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using Rewst or similar platforms to automate repetitive tasks and facilitate integrations between IT systems
• Experience with other automation platforms and frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
