Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our client in Makati City, Philippines.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and managing cloud infrastructure, creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our systems.
You will work closely with the development team to deploy new features and troubleshoot issues, contributing to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS and DigitalOcean.
* Design and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment.
* Collaborate with the development team to deploy new features and resolve bugs.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system availability, performance, and security.
* Manage and configure domains and DNS settings.
* Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices in DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, System Engineer, or System Administrator (Linux).
* At least 1 year of hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services (VPC, EC2, ALB, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
* Experience with Docker and managing Docker container clusters in production.
* Proven experience in building and operating CI/CD pipelines using Git on cloud services (Bitbucket, GitLab).
* Knowledge of database administration (MySQL, MongoDB).
* Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and AWS CloudWatch.
* Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash or Python.
* Strong understanding of networking and firewall concepts.
* Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Careful, responsible, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
