We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Database Miner to join our data analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets from various sources to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives. The Database Miner will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to uncover insights, identify trends, and contribute to data-driven strategies. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
• Data Extraction and Collection:
o Gather and compile data from multiple databases, data warehouses, and external sources.
o Use SQL, Python, or other data extraction tools to retrieve data efficiently.
o Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity during extraction and collection processes.
• Data Analysis and Interpretation:
o Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and trends.
o Develop predictive models and algorithms to support business objectives.
o Interpret data findings and present actionable insights to stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Data Cleansing and Transformation:
o Cleanse and preprocess data to remove duplicates, errors, and inconsistencies.
o Transform raw data into structured formats that are suitable for analysis.
o Document data cleaning and transformation processes for transparency and reproducibility.
• Collaboration and Reporting:
o Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other teams to understand data needs and deliver relevant insights.
o Prepare and present data reports, dashboards, and visualizations to management and other stakeholders.
o Collaborate with IT teams to optimize database performance and data retrieval processes.
• Database Management and Optimization:
o Maintain and update databases to ensure data is current and relevant.
o Optimize database queries to improve data retrieval speed and efficiency.
o Implement and enforce data security protocols to protect sensitive information.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated with the latest database mining techniques, tools, and technologies.
o Identify opportunities to improve data mining processes and implement best practices.
o Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance data mining skills.
Qualifications
• Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
o Proven experience in data mining, data analysis, or a similar role.
o Strong experience with SQL, Python, R, or other data mining and analysis tools.
o Experience with database management systems like MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Skills:
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
