We are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and help us shape the next generation of ML-powered products.
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, you will participate in the construction of new machine learning-based services. CHAMP launched its first 100% machine learning-based product in 2023 and plans to expand its portfolio in the coming year by integrating machine learning into existing products and developing new ones to capitalize on our market leader position.
Responsibilities Translate functional requirements into machine learning deliverables.Create and maintain datasets and models over time.Prototype solutions.Collaborate with both external and internal parties to develop and support CHAMP's activities.Explore new technological opportunities actively.Listen to our customers and contribute to driving evolutions and improvements of our solutions.Liaise with the BI team to ensure the proper functioning of the machine learning models.Support the development of new data products.Provide expertise for, advice on, and demonstrations of our ML solutions to both internal and external parties.Deliver working solutions on time, on cost, and on specifications.Ensure ethical use of data and models by implementing privacy-preserving techniques and complying with data protection regulations.Document processes, methodologies, and project outcomes comprehensively.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.Experience with statistical software and libraries like Scikit-learn, Statsmodel, TensorFlow, Pytorch, Jax, Keras, and others.Experience in data handling software or languages such as SQL, MongoDB Query, ETL tools.Knowledge in general machine learning problems: forecasting, computer vision, natural language processing, feature engineering.Knowledge in collaborative development processes such as MLOps, DEVOps, and agile processes.Experience in supporting the selection of sound architectures and technologies for the future.Effective communication to enable a smooth flow of information between the development and functional teams in a multi-cultural environment.Empathy and adaptability to help find the best trade-off between teams, technology capabilities, and functional requirements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Good knowledge of the MS Office suite.Good written and verbal command of the English language is a must.A plus: good knowledge and understanding of the air cargo business or the logistics/supply chain business.A plus: knowledge and experience of AWS and other cloud platform services.A plus: profile and participation in Kaggle and/or HuggingFace, GitHub (model machine learning related).Education and Experience: Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.Proven experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis.Minimum of 3 years' experience in ML development.A plus: prior experience in a startup.
