Job Description: The Data Governance Specialist is in-charge of: providing thought leadership and representing the Data Governance Team in program delivery; training Business, technical, and transformational teams on the Data Governance Framework; reviewing the project documents of transformational and enterprise initiatives to ensure that metadata and reference data requirements are captured and align to enterprise standards; scripting, developing, and maintaining data governance reports; performing peer review for data governance documents, reports, and dashboards, which includes data quality monitoring; documenting, maintaining, and securing necessary sign-offs on Business rules and standards regarding data quality, reference data, metadata management, etc.; performing User Acceptance Test (UAT) for Data Governance Tools and solutions; conducting impact analysis on new and updated business rules for data quality, client matching, survivorship, and List-of-Values; and identifying and evaluating areas for improvement in data management. The role reports to the Data Governance Manager. With specialized knowledge in the following: Skills in AWS Athena, SQL, MS Excel, and VBA Knowledge of maintaining and updating Tableau dashboards Knowledge of creating, interpreting, and trouble-shooting data wrangling scripts in R and/or Python Knowledge of setting up, maintaining, and trouble-shooting profiling rules in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud, Data Quality and Observability module Knowledge in setting up and managing data artifacts in a metadata management tool such as Collibra Knowledge in setting up and managing enterprise List of Values in a Reference Data Management tool such as Informatica, Ataccama, Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP). Strong skills in data profiling and discovery, root cause analysis, and information chain analysis.
