Data Center Specialist

Location: Makati (Onsite)
Schedule: Shifting

Qualifications:
• Must be a graduate of any computer-related course
• Preferably with 1-year working experience as a Data Center Operator / Data Center Specialist
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of basic networking is a plus factor
• Knowledge of AIX/Unix is a plus factor
• Should have the skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally
• Must have uncompromising integrity.
• Must have a pleasant, courteous, and professional attitude and maturity.
• Must possess the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multi-task workload.
• Must be highly motivated and can work with minimum supervision.
• Must possess a high level of initiative, drive, independence, and resiliency.

Responsibilities:
1. Monitors the status of all online services and the critical resources and processes that may affect online availability. Ensure proper escalation of incidents to the Supervising Data Center Specialist functioning as Shift Lead.
2. Monitors the net settlement position of member institutions to effectively minimize settlement risk exposure. Ensure escalation to Supervising Data Center Specialist and Operations and Support Department and timely execution of advised action.
3. Performs tasks stated in the daily operations checklist that includes the execution of scheduled production batch jobs and scheduled maintenance.
4. Reports activities performed to the Supervising Data Center Specialist functioning as Shift Lead.
5. Immediately escalates to the Supervising Data Center Specialist functioning as Shift Lead any incident monitored within their shift.
6. Provides assistance to Banks/Participants and Partners in addressing issues, escalating to proper support when necessary, and keeping the DCO Officer and DCO Head informed of problems.
7. Participates in testing emergency/contingency procedures and ensures adherence to established operating and security rules.
8. Performs User Acceptance Testing whenever necessary.
9. Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
