Data Center Officer

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be a graduate of any computer-related course
• Minimum 5 years working experience as a Data Center Operator / Data Center Specialist
• With at least 3 years working experience in a supervisory capacity
• With a strong background on switch applications
• With basic knowledge on the use of AIX/Unix-based systems
• Must have knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Should have the skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally
• Background in network is a plus factor
• Knowledge in relational databases is a plus factor
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and administration skills
• Mentoring and coaching skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Should demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment and be confident with decision making

JOB SUMMARY:

The Data Center Operations Officer is responsible for assisting the Data Center Operations Department Head in establishing the unit's strategy and overseeing the daily operations with the objective of meeting agreed SLAs.

The DCO Officer is expected to perform procedural training for new Data Center Specialists and cascade of changes in system handling and batch process to all DC Specialists.

The DCO Officer is expected to collaborate closely with the DCO Head in monitoring the overall performance of the team and to assist the DCO Head in managing the team capacity and utilization.
