**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**
Responsible for ensuring that each vessel of the fleet assigned is manned with qualified, certificated, and medically fit seafarers in accordance with national, international, and Principal's requirements and that they are deployed within the set timeline.
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager/Senior Crewing Manager/PST Crewing
Manager, he/she will also monitor available ex-crew and schedule them for re-deployment.
Also performs other functions or participates in adhoc projects as may be assigned from time to
time.
**RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES**
1.
Oversees the effective management of the crewing system to ascertain the accuracy of
crewing data as well as the efficiency of crewing service delivery;
2.
Monitors and assesses training needs and career pathing of crew, based on
performance evaluation;
3.
Monitors the validity of documents, licenses, and the like to ensure timely renewal of the
same;
4.
Supervises the work of Assistant Crew Operator;
5.
Coordinates regularly with Principals and vessels to facilitate crew change in
accordance with the agreed arrangements and schedules;
6.
Conducts final briefing with crew prior to deployment;
7.
Continuously communicates with Principals to address issues and concerns, as
needed;
8.
As necessary, communicates with onboard officers to address crew-related
concerns;
9.
Endorses to Crew Claims & Quality Manager all repatriation issues, ensuring
compliance with repatriation procedures;
10.
Disseminates relevant information regarding crewing policies and procedures to all concerned persons;
11.
Prepares and submits required reports to concerned units within set timeline;
12.
Performs work within the standards of the company's Quality Management System.
13.
Secures approval of Principal prior to endorsement of seafarers for processing to
Assistant Crew Operator and shall remain responsible for the entire process until the
seafarer is deployed
14.
Coordinates with Accounting Department to ensure accurate and timely information is provided;
15.
Maintains harmonious and professional working relationship within the department and with other members of the organization through participation and contribution to team activities and processes;
16.
Complies with government legislations and company policies.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Academic - Graduate of any Bachelor's Degree
- Languages - English, Tagalog
- Computer Skills - Windows OS, MS Office, familiarity with ERP / CCP or Crew shared systems
- Experience - Preferably with experience in Maritime Manning agency
