Country Manager

The self-motivated Country Manager to help with organization expansion. The Country Manager will lead all operations to ensure the profitability of the company's affiliate. Responsibilities include recruitment and training, writing budgets and reports, and assessing performance. Should also be comfortable living abroad, a competent public speaker and have good networking abilities, able to work without supervision and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
Key Responsibilities: · Manage and coordinate the development activities of assigned projects (end to end process)
· Liaising with head office and writing quarterly/annual reports.
· Recruiting, vetting, and training all new staff.
· Researching the country or region thoroughly and adapting strategies accordingly
· Monitoring performance at all levels and scheduling training as required.
· Implementing an effective brand strategy and ensuring consistency.
· Building professional relationships with staff and clients.
· Maintaining a good image of the organization at all times.
Education Requirements: Major: Engineering or Business-related
Years of Experience Required: · at least 3 years of work experience as a Country Manager or similar position, preferably in a Power, Telecom, or Renewable Energy company.
· Experience in Solar/Hydro/Thermal project management is a plus
· Managing a team of 20 or more with various functions (Admin, HR, Legal, Accounting and similar)
Essential Skills and Requirements: · Proficient in Microsoft Office, such as but not limited to Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
· Good command in both oral and written English language
· Ability to travel from time to time
· Strong background in General Management (generalist)
· Planning, Scheduling and Time management
· Management Objectives/goal with ability to drill down to plan details
· Sound understanding of Renewable Energy Project development process
· Knowledge of keys government agencies: DOE, NGCP, DENR..
· Immediate availability is a plus
