We use sustainable natural materials to create bespoke surfaces of the highest quality for interior design of superyachts, private jets, and residential objects.
 
To successfully push forward in this challenging business, we are looking for a competent Costing Officer to strengthen our Commercial department.
Your main tasks include the analysis of client requests and project requirements, turning them into accurate costings, while maintaining our standard cost database.
Your job is important to support the manufacturing of our complex products.
 
Job description
Analyze and understand project specific client documentation and drawings.
Understand in detail the client's requirements of each project.
Use standard costing model to determine labor, material, and overhead costs for each project.
Liaise with other departments (R&D, sampling, engineering, production) to clarify technicalities, feasibility, and customizations to reflect accurate costs.
Risk manages assumptions made during costing and highlights potential consequences.
Liaise with
purchasing department to obtain updated material costs.Compile project specific costing in Excel spreadsheets and ERP costing modules.
Share obtained costing data with European pricing department, communicate assumptions, findings, issues, and general commentary clearly, answer technicalities and other questions.
Evaluate orders against earlier provided costings, highlight any differences in costs, and provide final cost to make.
Be part of variance analysis team to evaluate post-production data against costing data, provide reasons for variances, where necessary propose changes to standard.
Respect confidentiality of client and costing data.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor graduate in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or related course.
At least 3 years of work experience as a costing officer or costing engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the furniture industry.
Strong knowledge of commercial aspects of costing, preferably using a standard costing model of direct material and labor as the basis for customized costings.
Process-oriented thinking with experience in documentation, continuous improvement, and process standardization.
Ability to work and interface with various key departments.
Able to read and understand shop drawings.
Good knowledge of English.
