Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cost Manager to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for exercising a qualified level of cost management including cost planning, controlling and reporting proficiency.
What You'll Be Doing:
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of reports to accurately reflect current budgets, invoices and committed costs; projected-to-go or cost-to-complete estimates; budget variances; cash flow projections; and schedule of values for individual projects.
Provide trending information to assist in forecasting potential problems with cost and time.
Manage work breakdown structures and revisions.
Coordinate conceptual estimates for various design and construction estimates to provide program budgets.
Development and maintenance of automated program cost database.
Perform work in a safe manner and actively encourage others to comply with safety rules and regulations.
Provide, annually, a fiscal budget and past period cost performance report.
Provide, monthly, a consolidated program cost performance report.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree or at least 15 years related experience and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven construction experience in estimating, bidding and job cost preparation; and an understanding of construction contracts, scheduling and general construction management principles is required.
Construction experience in change order review / negotiations process preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
